Introduction =============================================================================== Yoshi's Island is the sequel to Super Mario World. This game is set in the past, when Mario is a baby, and is dropped by a stork onto Yoshi's Island. The Yoshis get together and decide to return Mario to his parents, but Bowser interferes, and sends a huge range of enemies out into the many levels of the game. Unlike previous Mario games, you control Yoshi instead of Mario. This game has excellent graphics, from the start of the game all the way to the end. The screen scrolls left and right very smoothly, and gives quite a zoomed out view to allow you to see quite far into the distance before you even get there. There is great detail on the foreground as well as the background, and though all of the levels are different from one another, they all retain the same amount of detail. In all, there are six worlds in this game, each of which contain eight normal levels and one secret level. Add to that one tutorial level, and there are fifty-five levels! Quite an incredible statistic for a game, considering the size and detail in each and every level, most of which contain new enemies and all of which contain new and original backgrounds, items, and tasks to do. At the end each level, you're given a score depending on how many of the required items you picked up on your journey through the level. More often than not, these items are hidden high up in difficult to reach places. Finding them all in a single level can be difficult, especially when you have an abundance of enemies rushing at you from all different directions. But if you do happen to get 100% in the eight normal levels on a world, the secret, extra-difficult level will be unlocked. Overall, Yoshi's Island is a superb game. It's one of the few games that I've bought for my SNES which I still play occasionally. The originality and size of the game are incredible, with 55 huge levels and 127 enemies. Try not to be put off by first appearances, as what may first seem to be a simple game will soon turn into an extremely complex, difficult yet enjoyable platform game. =============================================================================== 2. Moves =============================================================================== EAT Upon pressing Y, Yoshi sticks his tongue out. Providing he's close enough to an enemy, Yoshi will usually grab them. From here, you can either spit them out or swallow them. HOVER Hold B in the air to hover. This move can be used to travel long distances, and to reach places that you wouldn't be able to with a normal jump. SHOOT Providing Yoshi has at least one egg, tapping A to display the egg target, and then releasing A, Yoshi will shoot an egg in the direction he's facing. SPIT When Yoshi has an enemy in his mouth, tap Y to spit them out. This is useful for defeating other enemies and opening winged clouds. STOMP While in the air, press down to stomp the ground. This can be used to defeat strong enemies, but as it's quite a slow move, it can be very difficult to hit the faster enemies. SWALLOW When Yoshi has an enemy in his mouth, tap down to swallow them. Yoshi will receive an egg. =============================================================================== 3. Walkthrough =============================================================================== ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Intro: Welcome To Yoshi's Island ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This introductory level is here to give new players the chance to get used to the controls of the game before the first level. As this is a tutorial level, there isn't too much to worry about in the way of enemies and other dangers, so I'll use this section of the guide to explain about some of the basic controls used in the game. For more specific information, hints and advice on playing the game, hit the various message blocks in the game. At the start of the game, press right on the D-Pad and scroll through the messages that pop up on screen. Run past the red arrow on the right to come to the first enemy in the game: a Shy Guy. There are various ways to beat enemies in this game. As enemies get more difficult later on in the game, some ways may work better or worse than others, or may not work at all. Here are all of the ways to beat the Shy Guys in this section of the level: OPTION 1: JUMP This is the most basic option for beating most of the easy enemies. Just jump up by pressing X and land on top of the Shy Guy. OPTION 2: POUND Jump up over the top of the Shy Guy and press down to make Yoshi stamp on the floor. This is more powerful than the jump, but is much slower. For slow enemies such as the Shy Guy in this section of the level, this is fine, but you will need to be accurate. OPTION 3: SPIT Get close to the first Shy Guy and press Y to grab him. Press Y again to spit the enemy out. This is useful for defeating a second enemy, such as the second Shy Guy in this section of the level. OPTION 4: EGG Get close to the first Shy Guy and press Y to grab him. Press down to create an egg. With the egg, face the second shy guy and press A to bring up a target. Egg throwing is one of the most useful features for defeating enemies in the game, but can look quite confusing at first. When the egg target comes up, wait until it points toward the second Shy Guy, and then press A again to shoot the egg. To pause the egg target, press either the L or R button. To bring up the target and not shoot an egg at all, press down on the D-Pad or press Y to cancel the egg. With both Shy Guys out of the way, continue right to come to a platform that consists of five blocks with coins high above. The middle block is purple, and increases in size when hit. Hit the purple block, then jump up to the top of it. You can now collect the coins that were too high to reach before. Jump off the right side of the purple block and land on the rock. Jump up to the next rock on the right to land near a message block. Hitting the block will give information on the Hovering Jump, which can be used to cross large distances or gain extra height in jumps. Run right until you come to the edge of the path, and then jump high into the gap. Hold up, right and X to hover up to the top of the high rock on the other side. Walk right to come to a small spring ball. Spring balls are used to help Yoshi bounce much higher than a normal jump. For a spring ball to work, jump high and then jump again as soon as you land on the ball. Launch up to the rock high up on the right, and then run right to come to a large spring ball. This is similar to the small spring ball, but it launches Yoshi much higher. Use this ball to launch up to the rock on the right. Go right after landing to arrive near two Shy Guys. Use any of the four possible attacks shown earlier in this level walkthrough to defeat the Shy Guys, and then run right to exit the level. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= 3.1. World One =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Level 1-1: Make Eggs, Throw Eggs ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FLOWER 1 Run right when the level starts, and pass under the message block to come to two Shy Guys. Eat both Shy Guys to create two eggs, and continue right until you see a platform above with a Shy Guy on it. Jump up to the platform and eat the Shy Guy to make a third egg, and then jump off the right side of the platform to collect the first flower. FLOWER 2 After landing on the blue rock, eat the Shy Guy and jump high off the right side of the rock to avoid a Piranha Plant. Run under the second message block to arrive near a platform with a winged cloud above. Jump up to the platform, eat the Shy Guy, and shoot an egg at the cloud, which will create some steps leading up to the left. Climb the steps to the long platform at the top, and collect the middle row of six red coins. Go to the far left side of the platform to collect the second flower. FLOWER 3 As soon as you collect the second flower, a Fly Guy holding a winged cloud will appear up on the left. He doesn't stay for long, so quickly shoot an egg at him to burst the cloud, which will make five stars fall down to the platform below. Collect the stars, and then jump back up to the platform on the right. Run right and go down the steps to the platform at the bottom. Drop down off the right edge to activate two Piranha Plants. Shoot an egg at the bottom plant, and go down the pipe on the other side. After arriving in the cave, go right and drop off the edge to land near an egg block. Hit the block to collect eggs, and then go right. Before collecting any of the items above, push Chomp Rock all the way to the wall on the right to defeat two Shy Guys. Leave the rock near the wall, and run back left to the start of the cave. Shoot eggs at the six red coins in the area, and shoot the two Fly Guys to make them each drop a red coin. Shoot an egg at the Baron Von Zeppelin holding the extra life, and push Chomp Rock back over to the wall at the right side of the cave. Shoot an egg off the ceiling so that it rebounds into the open tulip, which will throw out eight stars. Collect all the stars, and run right. Jump on Chomp Rock, hop up to the ledge on the right, and then go up the pipe. After emerging from the pipe, jump over the wall on the left to collect the third flower. FLOWER 4 Walk up the small steep slope on the right, and jump across the gap to land on the blue rock. Shoot an egg at the Piranha Plant that appears, and then jump down to any one of the four purple circling platforms. When the platform goes low, drop down off the right side of the platform to land on a long platform. Collect all four red coins on the platform and run over to the left side to collect the fourth flower. FLOWER 5 Jump back on one of the circling platforms and jump off to land on the blue rock up on the right. Run down the slope to find a pipe which Shy Guys are jumping out of. Eat the Shy Guys until Yoshi has six eggs, and then shoot an egg up at the winged cloud above, collecting the five stars that fall. Jump over the pipe and continue right, eating both Crazee Dayzees along the way. Shoot an egg at the winged cloud, and climb up the left side of the newly created beanstalk. Near the top of the beanstalk, jump off to land on the rock on the left, and continue left to find a winged cloud off the edge of a rock. Shoot an egg at the winged cloud to reveal the fifth and final flower. Jump off the rock to collect the flower, and hover right to land on a rock below. Although it seems there is nothing on this rock, run right to reveal a hidden winged cloud. Shoot an egg at the cloud to reveal five stars, and then drop down off the left side of the rock. Go right and climb back up the beanstalk to the top, but this time jump up to one of the purple circling platforms above. Collect the two red coins when the platform gets to the highest point, and then jump over to the blue rock on the right. Go right to find Chomp Rock. Push it down the hill on the right to defeat two Shy Guys and a Piranha Plant. Jump over Chomp Rock to land on the blue rock on the other side. Shoot the neabry winged cloud for five stars. From the rock, run right and jump over the five Shy Guys to come to the goal ring. Jump through the goal ring to complete the level. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Level 1-2: Watch Out Below! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FLOWER 1 Run right at the start of the level and jump up the small step. Go up the slope and drop down the other side to arrive near two Shy Guys. Eat both Shy Guys and continue right. Go up the slope and jump at the top to collect the first flower. FLOWER 2 From this point in the level to the first middle ring, Chomps will jump from the background to make gaps in the floor. The first Chomp will make a gap in the floor just after the first flower. Jump the gap and eat the Crazee Dayzee on the other side, and then continue up the slope to the top. Jump over the small ledge to land near six coins, then quickly hold right and stop under the third and fourth coins, which are red coins. Jump up to collect the red coins, and continue right, jumping over the various gaps along the way, to come to a winged cloud. A Chomp will fall down and create a gap under the winged cloud, so don't go near it just yet. When the Chomp has created the gap, shoot the winged cloud to reveal the second flower, and jump over the gap to collect it. FLOWER 3 Go right and drop down the step to land near six more coins. The red coins are the four middle coins, but be careful as Chomps can create gaps under the first and fourth coin. Use a Hover jump to collect the coins, and continue right to come to a post. Jump over the first post and eat both Shy Guys, and then shoot an egg up at the winged cloud to receive five stars. Collect the stars, then jump over the second post and continue right to pass the Middle Ring. Go right to come to a Shy Guy pipe, and eat Shy Guys until Yoshi has six eggs. This will stop the Shy Guys coming out of the pipe, so you can have some time to look around. Shoot an egg at the fluffy ceiling above and collect the four red coins that are up there, and then shoot an egg through the fluffy wall on the right. Shoot a final egg up through the ceiling to make the spring ball fall down. Go and collect some more eggs by eating the enemies coming out of the Shy Guy pipe, and then bounce up to the next area by using the spring ball. After landing on the platform, two red arrows will be pointing right. Although you can go left, it only leads through a hidden tunnel in the wall to an area with an expansion block. So follow the arrows advice and go right through the hidden wall. Jump up the two platforms to come to a junction. If you choose to go right here, you can follow a path along to a hidden winged cloud which contains a 1UP. Apart from the 1UP though, there's nothing else of interest, so go left at the junction to come to two more platforms. Jump up the platforms and go left at the junction to pass the second middle ring in the level. After passing the second middle ring, go right and jump over the small gap. On the other side of the hidden tunnel, run under the message block and enter the hidden tunnel on the right. Bounce off the small spring ball and exit the hidden tunnel high up on the right. Go down the slope on the other side to arrive near a message block and a Metamorphosis Bubble. Touch the bubble to transform into a helicopter. Fly right and go under the first hidden tunnel section to collect two red coins. Go up after collecting the final coin to collect the third flower. FLOWER 4 Continue right after collecting the third flower, and pass through the set of coins that lead down and right. After these coins, there will be a section of wall which has three hidden entrances, one on the left, one on the right and one at the bottom. Go up through the tunnel at the bottom of the wall to find the fourth flower. FLOWER 5 Exit the tunnel and then fly up and right past the Gusty. When you see the floating island over on the right (which has arrows pointing down and right on it), go right along the island and then go up and right at the end. When you come to the two red arrows on the ceiling that point down, go up close to the arrows and then fly through the hidden tunnel on the right. Follow the tunnel down and right to collect three red coins, and then fly down and left after exiting the tunnel to hit the Yoshi Block, which will return Yoshi to normal. Run right to come to a pipe, but don't enter it just yet. Instead, jump up to one of the platforms on either side of the pipe, and then jump up into the small hidden area just above the platforms to collect two more red coins. Drop down to the pipe and go down it. After arriving in the final area, shoot an egg at the winged cloud to reveal the fifth flower. Quickly shoot the Fly Guy holding the 1UP, and then jump up to collect the flower. Run right and hover jump over the Piranha Plant to collect the three red coins. On the other side, eat the nearby Shy Guy, and shoot an egg at the winged cloud to reveal five stars. Run right, eating the Crazee Dayzee and Shy Guy along the way, and watch out for the final Chomp which creates a gap just left of the red arrow. Jump over the gap, and jump through the goal ring on the other side to complete the level. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Level 1-3: The Cave Of Chomp Rock ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FLOWER 1 This level starts outside, with a green pipe on the right which leads down to the cave. Jump on top of the pipe to activate a Piranha Plant over on the right, and providing you have some eggs left over, shoot an egg at the plant. With the plant defeated, jump over to the ledge where it used to be to find a hidden winged cloud. Shoot the winged cloud to receive a 1UP, and then go down the pipe. As soon as you arrive in the cave, a Chomp Rock will start rolling down the slope up on the left. Let the rock push you down the slope to the post at the bottom, then jump over the post and stomp the crate on the other side. Collect all six stars, and continue right to find a fluffy wall. Eat the Nipper Plant, and then jump up to the top of the wall. Walk over to the middle of the wall, and stomp the post two times to receive a single red coin. Run right and eat the Shy Guy up on top of the mushroom. Jump up to the mushroom, and hover jump over the Nipper Plants below to collect the top four red coins. On the other side of the Nipper Plant pit, run right up the steep slope and drop off the end of the path to land on a mushroom. A Chomp Rock is visible over on the right, but don't go there just yet. Instead, drop down to the lowest mushroom, and then go down the gap below it to land in a tunnel. Follow the tunnel down and along, and collect the first flower and the two red coins at the end. FLOWER 2 Eat the two Lantern Ghosts if Yoshi needs more eggs, and then run back up the tunnel and jump out of the gap under the mushroom. Climb up the steps on the right to the Chomp Rock at the top, and push it down the slope. Follow the rock down until it collides with a second Chomp Rock, and then continue following the first rock down the path on the left. Push the rock along the path to defeat two Nipper Plants, and collect the second flower and the two red coins at the end. FLOWER 3 Head back to the right, noticing the door above with the keyhole along the way, and push the Chomp Rock down the slope on the right. Follow the Chomp Rock down into the small cave, and jump up to the mushroom. Collect all four red coins, and shoot an egg at the winged cloud to reveal five stars. Collect the stars and exit the cave on the left. Run up the small slope and jump up to the first slope on the right. Run up the slope in the path, and jump over to the mushroom on the left. Jump up to the platform on the left and pass through the middle ring to receive 10 stars. Drop down off the right side of the platform and continue right up the path to the post, jumping over the rolling Chomp Rock along the way. Wait for the two Nipper Plants to bounce down from the mushrooms up on the right. Eat the Nipper Plants when they get close, and then jump up to the top of the post. Jump up to the first mushroom on the right, and shoot an egg up at the third flower high above to collect it. FLOWER 4 Jump over to the mushroom on the right, and hold up to look up higher. Shoot an egg at the three Baron Von Zeppelins holding the crate up high on the right. When the crate falls down, go over and stomp on it to reveal six stars. Continue right to find three posts. Jump up to the top of the middle post and hold up to see a Baron Von Zeppelin holding a key. Shoot an egg at the Baron Von Zeppelin, and run over to collect the key. With the key, run back to the left and go down the slope to the end of the path. Jump across to the middle path on the left and go along to find a door with a keyhole. Press up to unlock the door and enter the bonus area. In the bonus area, enter the button combinations that are shown to pass the balloon between Yoshi and the Bandit. If the balloon pops on the Bandit, you will get a 1UP. After exiting the bonus level, run right and jump across the gap to the top path. Run up the path and jump over the post. Eat the Lantern Ghost on the other side, and continue right to return to the three posts. Stomp the middle post twice and the right post three times to collect two red coins, and then continue right. Jump up to the high ledge on the right with the three coins on each side. The middle coins on each side are red, so collect those, and continue right to find another Chomp Rock. Push Chomp Rock off the edge of the path and follow it as it rolls right to defeat a Nipper Plant. Jump up to the path on the left, and jump from the mushroom to get up to the next path on the right. Jump up to the next mushroom above, and face left. Shoot an egg up to the top-left corner of the fluffy ceiling to receive a 1UP, then go right and shoot an egg in the direction of the fourth flower to collect it. FLOWER 5 Run down the path on the right and jump onto the first post. Pound the post twice to reveal a winged cloud, then shoot the winged cloud to reveal a red switch. Jump on the red switch and quickly run right to find two posts with a Nipper Plant in the middle. Jump between the posts to land on the Nipper Plant, and then press down to enter a secret area. In the area, collect as many coins as you can on the moving platform, and then use the spring balls at either side to exit the area. After exiting the secret area, jump over the two posts on the right to come to a Chomp Rock. Push the rock slowly up the small slope under the gap on the right, and then go left just before the top of the slope. Stay under the gap, and jump on Chomp Rock as it rolls down. Quickly jump up through the gap and hover jump up to the path on the right. Collect the three red coins at the right side of the area, and then jump over the gap and collect the fifth and final flower at the left side of the area. Jump down the gap and go right up the steep slope to exit the cave of Chomp Rock. Outside, run right and jump over the pipe. Shoot an egg at the Piranha Plant, and go right to the second Piranha Plant. Quickly shoot the plant, and then shoot another egg up at the Fly Guy holding the 1UP. Continue right to come to the goal ring, and jump through it to complete the level. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Level 1-4: Burt The Bashful's Fort ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FLOWER 1 Run right at the start of the level and hit the first egg block to transform it into an egg. Hit the remaining five egg blocks on the right, and shoot eggs at all three buckets along the way to collect some coins. After the sixth egg block, jump over the rotating spikes and continue right to the small spring ball. Use the spring ball to bounce up to the ledge on the right, and then run right to the edge. Drop off the edge and face left. Shoot both Burts to receive some stars, and collect the first flower on the left. FLOWER 2 Go right after collecting the first flower and jump onto the platform. When the platform goes to the top, jump off at the right side and run along to the paddles. After dropping down through the paddles, quickly run left to avoid a falling wall and jump up to the ledge to collect the second flower. FLOWER 3 Run right to avoid the falling wall again, and use the small spring ball to bounce to the ledge high up on the right. Run right and drop off the edge, and then shoot the two Burts on the left after landing to collect some more stars. Hit the egg block for eggs, and run over to the lava on the right. There are two slow horizontally moving platforms over this first section of lava. Jump on the first one, hover jump over to the second one, and collect the three red coins at the far right side of the lava before landing on the platform with the falling wall. Quickly run right and jump the gap between platforms, collecting the three red coins along the way. Hover jump over the next gap on the right and collect the coin on the right for the final red coin in the area. On the other side of the gap, pass through the middle ring to receive 10 stars, and then go down the pipe. After landing, run right and shoot the winged cloud after the rotating spikes to receive five stars. Continue right to find an egg block near a lava pit, with another winged cloud on the right. Get some eggs by hitting the egg block, and then shoot an egg at the nearby winged cloud to reveal a bridge across the lava. Jump on the bridge and run along it to collect three red coins. At the end of the bridge, jump up to the wall on the right, and then jump onto the see-saw platform. Go to the far right side of the platform to collect the third flower, and then jump quickly back to the middle of the platform. FLOWER 4 After collecting the third flower, the platform should be tilting up to the left. Run up it and hover jump up at the far left side to collect two red coins and land on a small platform with the fourth flower. FLOWER 5 From the small platform where the fourth flower was found, hover jump over to the right and land on the next platform. Jump onto the rotating platform and follow it around to collect two red coins, and then jump off at the right side to land near a Shy Guy pipe. You can go down this pipe to collect many coins, but there are no important items down there. Jump over the pipe and continue right past the locked door to arrive at a lava pit. There are four platforms going over the lava. Jump onto the first platform, and then jump quickly back to the left. Shoot the Gargantua Blargg that emerges, and then jump across the platforms over the lava, collecting all six of the red coins along the way. On the other side of the lava, run right and shoot eggs at the flowerpot until it falls off the ledge and smashes on the floor. When it does, collect the key that's revealed, and run back to the left. Shoot an egg at the eagerly awaiting Gargantua Blargg, and then jump back across the platforms above the lava to arrive at the locked door. Press up to go through the door. On the other side of the door, hit the egg block on the left until Yoshi has six eggs. Run right under the Burt, and then go through the first door in the area to arrive in a room with four Piranha Plants. Shoot all four Piranha Plants to make a flower appear. Jump up or shoot an egg to collect the fifth flower, and then exit the room. Go right and jump through the middle ring to collect 10 stars. Shoot an egg at the nearby winged cloud near the red doors for five more stars. Walk right to the red doors, and go through them to enter the first boss battle of the game. BOSS BATTLE 1: BURT THE BASHFUL An easy first boss. Burt the Bashful is a larger version of the Burts seen earlier in the level. His only weapon are his large bounces which he uses in an attempt to land on you, but these are simple to avoid. There are two gaps at either side of the area which can be used for when he gets too close. If you press down in either gap, then he can't even reach you. Shoot six eggs at Burt the Bashful to defeat him. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Level 1-5: Hop! Hop! Donut Lifts ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FLOWER 1 Go left from the start of the level and run down the hill to the blue rock. Jump onto the rotating platform and follow it around to collect two red coins. Jump over to the vertically moving platform on the left and wait until it goes down to collect the first flower. FLOWER 2 Jump over to the next rotating platform on the left and follow it around to collect two more red coins. Jump off to the blue rock at the top-left corner and walk left to come to a manual rotating platform on a wire. To operate this platform, jump onto the left platform to start it rotating. When it starts to slow down, jump onto the next platform on the left. Repeat this process to keep the platform moving. Near the end of the wire, collect the two red coins under the platform, and then go all the way to the end of the wire to collect the second flower. FLOWER 3 At the end of the wire, jump up to the platform above and eat the Fly Guy carrying the red coin. Collect the coin, and continue left over the hill to the blue rock. Jump onto the donut lifts and cross quickly to the other side, eating the Crazee Dayzee along the way. On the blue rock at the other side, face right and shoot an egg at the winged cloud to receive five stars. Run quickly back onto the donut lifts to collect the stars, and then jump up to the next blue rock on the left. Hit the expansion block, and use it to jump up to the donut lifts above. Jump from the donut lifts to collect the third flower. FLOWER 4 Jump to the horizontally moving platform on the left, and then jump to the vertically moving platform above. Jump to the platform at the side of the blue rock on the left, jump again to land on a higher platform near an expansion block, and then jump up to the two donut lifts on the left to land near the middle ring on the blue rock. Go through the middle ring, and then jump up to the platform above to find yourself near a manual rotating platform with five red coins avove it. Jump on the platform and move it right to collect the five red coins and the fourth flower at the end of the wire. FLOWER 5 Jump up after collecting the fourth flower to land on a platform, and then jump across to the blue rock on the right. Five coins in a '+' formation are above. Collect the middle red coin, and then jump up to the highest of the two platforms on the left. Quickly shoot the Fly Guy that appears holding the cloud, and collect the five stars that fall. Jump to the blue rock on the right, and eat the nearby Mufti Guy before jumping up to the vertically moving platform above. Follow the platform up to the top, and collect the middle red coin of the five coins on the left. Jump to the blue rock on the right and shoot the winged cloud above for five stars. Continue right over the grassy hill, and eat the Fly Guy carrying the red coin. Collect the red coin and then jump over to the donut lifts. From the first set of three donut lifts, shoot an egg up to collect the fifth flower in the fluff up on the right. Jump onto the set of five donut lifts and wait for each one to drop so that you can collect the red coins below. After collecting all five coins, jump over to the striped path on the right and run along to the goal ring. Don't jump through it yet. Wait until the level finishes scrolling, and then jump up at the right side of the goal ring to reveal a hidden winged cloud. Shoot the winged cloud for five stars, and then jump through the goal ring to complete the level. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Level 1-6: Shy-Guys On Stilts ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FLOWER 1 Run right from the start of the level and jump on the first Shy Guy on Stilts to turn him into a normal Shy Guy. Eat him, and then repeat the process on the other two Shy Guys on Stilts further on the right. Jump up to the platform with the spring ball, and use the spring ball to bounce all the way up to the top of the high blue rock on the right. Walk right to activate a winged cloud which contains a 1UP. Shoot the winged cloud, then drop down to the platform below and go through the doors. On the other side of the doors, collect all three eggs. Shoot the yellow egg at a Shy Guy for a normal coin, the red egg for a two stars, and the flashing egg for a red coin. Go through the doors. After arriving back in the main area, drop off the right side of the platform and go down the pipe. In the cave, jump on the two Shy Guys on Stilts and use the small spring ball over on the right to bounce up to the ledge on the left. Go left and eat Lantern Ghosts until Yoshi has six eggs, and then look up at the Baron Von Zeppelin holding the large spring ball. Wait until the Baron Von Zeppelin starts floating back to the left after hitting the platform with the small spring ball on it, and then shoot an egg so that it drops the large spring ball. Using the large spring ball, do a small jump up to the platform on the right, and then use the small spring ball to bounce up to the next ledge on the right. Drop off the right side of the ledge to collect the first flower. FLOWER 2 Run back to the left and use the large spring ball to bounce up to the high path on the right, collecting the three red coins along the way. After landing on the path, run down the slope on the right and jump over the two Shy Guys on Stilts along the way. At the right side of the path, eat both Lantern Ghosts and jump onto the yellow platform to exit the first cave section. After exiting the cave, follow the platform up to the top of the track and collect the three red coins. Drop down to the path and run along to find three Shy Guys on Stilts. Eat them all, and then shoot an egg at the winged cloud to receive five stars. Continue right and jump through the middle ring at the top of the slope, and then run down the slope at the other side. Jump over the gap at the end of the slope and jump/stomp on both Shy Guys on Stilts. Go back to the left and stomp the post under the tulip three times, then run right to collect a red coin and the second flower. FLOWER 3 Jump up to the yellow ledge above and run back to the left until you get under the tulip. Hold A to bring up the egg target, and then press either L or R to stop the egg target at the lowest point. When the tulip opens, jump up and shoot an egg down into the tulip to receive eight stars. Run right and go up the hill to come to a message block, which contains some information on switches that open secret entrances. Jump down off the blue rock to land on the platform below, and then turn left to face a Piranha Plant. Shoot an egg at the Piranha Plant, and drop down into the gap on the left to collect a red coin. Jump back up the platform and drop down to the gap at the right side to collect another red coin. Jump up to the platform again, and stomp the post twice at either side. Run under the platform to collect the third flower. FLOWER 4 Jump back up to the platform and shoot an egg at the winged cloud to receive a red switch. Jump on the switch, and run right to the red arrow pointing down. Press down to enter a secret area. Shoot an egg at the winged cloud to reveal a Metamorphosis Bubble. Touch the bubble to transform into the Mole Tank. Go right and dig through the fluff to find the two red coins: one is the third coin from the start and the other is at the top-right corner of the fluff. After collecting both coins, dig down and hit the Yoshi Block, which will return Yoshi to normal. Go right and enter the doors to exit the secret area and return to the main level. Jump from the platform up to the blue rock on the right, and jump from the blue rock up to the top of the message block. Hover jump off the right side of the message block to collect the fourth flower. FLOWER 5 Run down the slope on the right and jump onto the post near the bottom. Stomp the post three times, and then continue down the slope to enter another cave section. After landing in the cave, walk slightly to the right and eat the Fang that flutters toward you. Stomp the Shy Guy on Stilts, and eat the two Lantern Ghosts shortly after. Run right up the slope and jump across to the mushroom. Jump over to the next mushroom, and then jump over to the platform on the wire. When the platform goes up high and is about to start falling back down, jump up and land on the platform. Eat the Lantern Ghosts coming out of the pipe on the left if you need to refill the egg supply, and then go to the edge of the platform on the right. Shoot an egg that follows the line of coins to collect six red coins and the fifth flower. Drop down off the right side of the platform, and then fall through the paddles on the right to land on the blue mushroom below. Fall down to the mushroom on the right, and jump over the Shy Guy on Stilts to land on the next red mushroom. Shoot an egg at the winged cloud up to reveal a beanstalk. Climb up to the highest leaf on the left side of the beanstalk, and eat the Fang that flies down. There are four coins above, and the two middle ones are red. Shoot an egg at the two red coins, and then jump over to the ledge on the right. Bounce on the large spring ball to exit the second cave section. After exiting the cave section, shoot an egg up at the winged cloud to receive five stars. Quickly run right under the goal ring and eat the 1UP balloon before it gets carried away by a hidden Fly Guy, and then jump through the goal ring to complete the level. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Level 1-7: Touch Fuzzy, Get Dizzy ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FLOWER 1 Run up the slope at the start of the level, and eat the Melon Bug at the top. Jump over the gap to land on the grassy platform, and then drop down the other side to land at the base of another slope. Push the nearby Melon Bug up the slope and over the gap at the top. Jump over the gap to land near another Melon Bug on the other side. Push this Melon Bug up the slope on the left, and he'll fall down the gap to collect the first flower. FLOWER 2 Continue right to come the bottom of a large step. Shoot an egg at the Piranha Plant if it hasn't already been hit by a Melon Bug, and keep moving right to reveal a hidden winged cloud. Shoot an egg at this winged cloud to receive five stars, and then jump both steps on the right. At the top, push one of the two Melon Bugs down the grassy slope on the right to defeat five Tap-Taps. Run down the slope and jump up the small step at the bottom to land near a locked hut. Jump up to the wooden platform with the hut on it, and walk right until you see three Tap-Taps on a platform over on the right. Wait until the two red Tap-Taps have walked off the edge of the platform, and then jump over the small gap to the platform on the right. When the remaining Tap-Tap has walked right, jump up to the platform above and go over to the left side. Jump left and hover jump up to the platform at the bottom-right corner of the fluff. Go to the left side of this small platform, and shoot an egg up and left to collect the second flower. FLOWER 3 Collect both flashing eggs, and then jump up to the middle of the platform on the left after collecting the second flower. Shoot an egg straight up to hit a winged cloud. A key will drop. Collect the key, and then jump up and over the fluff on the left to drop back down to the grassy floor. Jump up the small step on the right again, and jump back up to the platform with the hut. Press up to enter it. In the bonus area, gather more coins than the Bandit before the 30 seconds are up and you will win a bonus item. After exiting the bonus level, go right to the end of the platform, and wait again for the two Tap-Taps to to walk off to the left. This time, shoot the Tap-Taps with both flashing eggs, and two red coins will appear. Collect the red coins, and then look up to find a watermelon. Shoot an egg to make it drop, and then eat it. You will now have 30 watermelon seed bullets to shoot. Jump over the small gap to the platform on the right, and when the remaining Tap-Tap on the platform above walks left, jump up on the right side of the platform. Quickly turn left and fire a seed to shoot the Tap-Tap off the platform. Go right and jump on top of the block of fluff. Stomp it to collect the red coin, and then jump out of the fluff to land on the platform down on the right. Shoot an egg/seed up to the block of fluff above to collect another red coin. Jump from the platform over to the grass slope on the right, and run down it to find the middle ring. Pass through the middle ring, and then jump over the high ledge on the right to collect the third flower. FLOWER 4 After landing on the grass floor on the other side of the high ledge, the Fuzzy section will begin. If you still have the watermelon seeds left over from earlier in the level, this would be the best place to use them. Go right and jump up the first big step. Collect the three red coins above, and then continue right along the path. Shoot eggs/seeds at the Fuzzys that hover around this section, and then jump over the gap to land on a higher section of path. Shoot an egg/seed at the Piranha Plant that emerges soon after you land, and collect the two red coins above. Continue right quickly and drop down the two steps before the Fuzzys get too close. Hit the egg block at the bottom if you need to refill the egg supply. Go right and jump over the ledge to land in a gap where the fourth flower is found. FLOWER 5 Jump up the two steps on the right, and shoot eggs/seeds at the numerous Fuzzys at the top. Jump over the small gap to land on a small section of floor, and shoot an egg up at the winged cloud to receive five stars. Go right and drop down the two steps to land on a section of floor with lots of coins above. Run right until you see the flower above, and shoot an egg/seed up to collect the fifth flower. Run right and jump up the two steps. At the top of the steps, quickly shoot an egg/seed at the Fly Guy that appears holding a 1UP. Jump over the big gap on the right, and jump on one of the two Mildes to fire the other one off the platform. Collect the two red coins above, and jump over the next gap to land on the path up on the right. Shoot the winged cloud near the start of the path to receive five stars, and then run right to enter the final area of the level. Go right and jump over the two blocks to land on a bendy platform. You can break these platforms by stomping on them, but there's no need to stomp this one. Just walk on it to collect the red coin below, and continue right to find another bendy platform. Stomp this platform to break it, and then jump through the shallow water to collect three red coins. Jump up through the third bendy bridge at the right side of the water, and go left to come to a slope. Go to the top of the slope, and jump straight up to reveal a small spring ball. Jump on the spring ball to enter a secret area. After arriving in the secret area, jump up to the ledge on the left and continue to find a Chomp Rock. Jump on top of the Chomp Rock and walk slowly to the right to roll Chomp Rock away from the wall. When there's quite a big gap, jump over to the left side of Chomp Rock and push it right to reveal a winged cloud. Shoot an egg at the winged cloud and a beanstalk will grow. Jump up the beanstalk to the top and then jump off at the right side to land on a long cloud. Run along the cloud to the right, jumping up to collect all four red coins along the way, and shoot an egg at the winged cloud at the end of the cloud to receive five stars. Run back to the left and drop down the gap in the clouds. Go right after landing, and eat the two Mufti Guys on the way to the pipe. Go down the pipe to return to the main part of the level. Go right after landing to come to the fourth bendy bridge in the area. Walk on the bridge to collect the final red coin in the level. Continue right and jump through the goal ring to complete the level. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Level 1-8: Salvo The Slime's Castle ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FLOWER 1 Run right at the start of the level and jump onto the sloped platform. Run up to the top of the slope, and jump over to the rolling platform. From the rolling platform, quickly jump up to collect both red coins and hover jump over to the ledge on the right. Walk over to the right side of the ledge and jump onto the green rotating platform. Wait on the platform until it stops rotating, and then jump back over to a green platform on the left. Collect both red coins, and then jump back over to a green platform on the right. When the platform has moved close enough to the rolling platform, jump up to the top of the rolling platform and quickly hover jump to collect both red coins above it. Continue hovering right, and land on the purple rotating platform. Move the platform right and jump down to the platform on the other side. Continue right to come to another rolling platform. Jump onto the left side of the rolling platform and then quickly hover jump up and left to collect the three red coins. Jump back onto the rolling platform, but this time hover jump up and right to collect three more red coins and land on the small platform above. Go to the right side of this platform, and use the thin platforms to jump up through the gap. At the top of the gap, run left to collect a red coin, and then drop down the wide gap to collect the first flower. FLOWER 2 After collecting the first flower, you will land on the rolling platform, so quickly run right to avoid falling into the lava. After passing the rolling platform, enter the pipe on the right. After arriving in the second area, you should notice a Spray Fish in the water over on the right. Wait for the Spray Fish to stop shooting water, and then quickly jump onto the green platform that the ghost is holding. The platform will go slowly up and right, and then it will quickly move left and down. When it starts to move left and down, hover jump to land on a small ledge at the entrance to a tunnel. Go left through the tunnel, and then walk left to collect the second flower. FLOWER 3 Go through the pipe on the right to enter the second area again. Run and hover jump twice to land on the platform at the top-right corner of the area, collecting the third flower on the way. FLOWER 4 Go through the tunnel on the right to enter a small secret room. Collect both red coins, pass through the middle ring to receive ten stars, and shoot the winged cloud for a further five stars. Exit the room by going through the pipe on the left. Drop off the platform and hold right to land on a platform below. Go through the tunnel on the right. After arriving in the third area, run under the message block and hit the green block to switch the green platforms over. Continue right and jump onto the log platform near the Bandit to collect the fourth flower. FLOWER 5 Run back to the left and jump onto the green platform. Jump to the platform up on the left and shoot an egg at the winged cloud to receive five stars. Jump to the small platform on the right, and then jump to the slope up on the right. Go about half-way up the slope and jump to the green platform on the left. Jump over to the purple rotating platform, and wait for the platform to go around about three-quarters of the way before jumping up to the log platform above. Go right along the platform and shoot an egg at the red block to switch the red platforms over. Go right and drop down onto the first red platform. Continue right and fall down the gap under the second red platform. Run left down the slope and drop onto the small log platform at the bottom. Walk right and drop onto the green platform below, and then jump over to the log platform on the right. Jump over to the red platform on the right and walk right to collect three red coins. Go to the right side of the red platform and jump up to the purple rotating platform above. Wait for the platform to go three-quarters of the way around, and then jump up to either the right or left log platform above. Jump up to the higher log platform, and push the flowerpot right or left so that it crashes down to the platform below. Collect the key that is revealed, and jump back up to the log platform where the flowerpot used to be. Run left and jump onto the tiny log platform next to the wall, and then jump up through the log platform. Run right and hover jump over the big gap to land on a path. Run right along the path to collect the fifth flower. Go left along the path and drop down the small step near the end. Drop off the edge of the path to land on a sloped log platform below, and then jump to the red platform up on the right. Jump over the small gap to the second red platform and run right to collect two red coins and arrive near the locked door. Press up to enter the door. After arriving in the fourth area, walk right and stop under the spinning arrow platform. Jump onto the platform when the arrow is pointing up and ride the platform up until you see the ledge over on the right. Jump over to the ledge, and run right to find the middle ring. Jump through the middle ring, and then jump onto the arrow platform on the left when the arrow is pointing straight up. Jump to the log platform when the arrow platform gets high enough, and press up to enter the red doors. BOSS BATTLE 2: SALVO THE SLIME Run right and jump up the steps to enter the boss arena. Kamek appears and transports a Lemon Drop into a huge monster one named Salvo. A slightly more difficult boss battle than the first, Salvo the Slime will bounce around trying to push you into the lava at the right side of the area. Shoot one egg at Salvo the Slime to make some Lemon Drops appear. Eat the Lemon Drops to refill the egg supply, and shoot eight eggs at Salvo the Slime to defeat him. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Extra 1: Poochy Ain't Stupid ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FLOWER 1 Walk left at the start of the level and stand under the winged cloud. Eat six of the Fangs that fly toward you, and shoot an egg up at the winged cloud to receive five stars. Eat one more Fang, and then run right. Jump up the small step to land on top of a ledge near some lava. At this point, Poochy will make his appearance. Quickly jump on Poochy and face right to make him run in that direction. Tap left and right to control Poochy as he runs through the lava, and continue right to jump up the big step on the other side. After landing on the slope, jump off Poochy and shoot the winged cloud for five stars. Jump back on Poochy and run into the lava on the right. When you come to the platform in the lava with the small gap below, jump from Poochy and land on top of the platform. Shoot the winged cloud above the platform for five more stars, and then hover jump down from the platform to collect the first flower and land back on Poochy. FLOWER 2 Continue right through the lava and jump up both steps at the other side. Shoot an egg at the winged cloud at the top of the second step for five stars, and then drop down into the lava on the right. Go through the lava and jump up both steps on the other side. Tap left and right to control Poochy from going too fast at the top of the second step. Walk slowly off the right side of the slope to drop down into a gap with the second flower. FLOWER 3 Wait until the Bullet Bill has passed above, and then quickly jump out the right side of the gap. Hover jump from Poochy and hold up to float to the top of the platform high up on the right, following the trail of coins along the way to collect three red coins. Shoot the winged cloud above the platform to receive five stars, and then hover jump off the right side of the platform to collect three red coins. After collecting the third red coin on the right side of the platform, drop down to collect the third flower and land on Poochy. FLOWER 4 After landing back on Poochy, run right through the lava. At the other side of the lava, jump up the small step to land at the bottom of a big slope. Run up the slope, eating Fangs along the way to refill the egg supply. At the top of the slope, shoot an egg at the winged cloud for five stars, and then jump up the large step on the right. Run down the big slope on the right while eating any of the Fangs that get too close. There are four Tap-Taps on the way down the slope, which cause no problem as long as you have Poochy. At the bottom of the slope, drop into the small gap to collect two red coins, and jump out on the other side. Run up the small slope, and Poochy will automatically jump to collect the fourth flower at the top. FLOWER 5 Drop down into the lava section on the right. Run quickly to the right and jump from Poochy to collect the three red coins. Quickly land back on Poochy and run back to the left before the Ball and Chain gets too close. When the Ball and Chain is horizontal, quickly run right to pass under the Ball and Chain. Shoot the first winged cloud on the other side of the Ball and Chain to receive five stars and then continue right to collect two red coins. Shoot the second winged cloud for a further five stars, and go right for two more red coins. After collecting the second set of two red coins, jump to get the fifth flower and hover jump over to the platform on the right. Drop off the right side of the platform and hover near the lava to collect five red coins and land near the goal ring. Jump over to the block on the right and eat the Koopa. Jump up both small steps on the right and shoot the Koopa shell at the next Koopa. Wait until the Paratroopa has floated low, and then jump over the gap to land on the big rock on the other side. Run right to the edge of the path and drop down to the pipe. Go down the pipe. After arriving in the secret area, jump up to the platform on the right and continue right under the message block to encounter a Super Star. Collect the first Star to transform into Mario. Run up the curved wall on the right and continue over the red blocks to arrive in another area with a Super Star. Collect the second Star and run up the next curved wall on the right to come to another Super Star. Collect the third Star and run along the ceiling until you hit the wall and land on the floor. After landing, quickly run left along the blocks and down the sloped wall on the other side to collect the first flower. FLOWER 2 After landing back on the platform, go up the pipe to return to the main section of the level. Jump up to the grass slope up on the left and then hover jump over to the block on the right. Jump up the step to the thin block on the right and quickly jump up to collect the second flower before the block drops. FLOWER 3 After collecting the second flower, hover over to the block on the right. Face left and stomp the Koopa on the block below. Walk to the middle of the block and face right. Shoot an egg down and right at the winged cloud to receive a 1UP, and then jump up to the block on the right. Jump over the gap to the next block and quickly collect the two red coins above before the block falls. Jump over to the thin block on the right, and then jump up to the big block on the right. Collect the two red coins above the block, and then quickly run to the left side of the block as it starts to fall. Run right to collect the two red coins when the block gets low enough, and then hover jump over the Paratroopa to land on the final block in the area. Jump off the right side of the block and go down the pipe. After arriving in the second area, drop off the platform and run right to find Poochy. Hit the egg block to refill the egg supply, and then jump on Poochy. Face right to make Poochy run in that direction. After Poochy defeats the seven Tap-Taps and passes the third spike gap, he'll jump up and enter a tunnel. When Poochy jumps, jump up and right to land on a ledge. Run right and drop down off the other side of the ledge to land near a crate. Collect the four red coins around the crate and then stomp the crate to receive a key. Collect the key, then jump back on Poochy and face left. Jump up and left when Poochy jumps to land on top of the ledge. Hover jump from the left side of the ledge to float over all three pits, and then run all the way back to the pipe at the start of the area. Go up the pipe. After emerging from the pipe, run right and pass through the middle ring. Go over to the large spring ball and use it to bounce up to the third area. After arriving in the third area, the screen will start to slowly scroll up, and blocks will fall from above. Wait for the first block to drop down on the right side and jump onto it. Two more blocks will drop. Run left and jump up to the far left block. Two more blocks will drop. As soon as the second block lands, quickly jump up to the top of it. When the next two blocks have dropped, run right and jump to the top of the far right block. Three blocks will drop. Run left and jump up to the far left block. Three more blocks will drop. Jump up to the closest block on the right, and then quickly jump onto the far right block to avoid the block above. Don't collect the flower just yet. Instead, jump to the grass path on the right and wait for the final two blocks to fall. Jump onto the blocks and run left to collect the third flower. FLOWER 4 Continue left after collecting the fourth flower and jump near the wall to reveal a winged cloud. Shoot an egg at the winged cloud to receive five stars. Go right to the grass path and jump up the three platforms to the small ledge at the top. Drop down off the right side of the ledge and go left onto the thin platform, which will start to drop. Face right as the platform drops, and eat the four Shy Guys on the way to collect the red coins that they hold. Go right and use the small spring ball to bounce up to the platform above. Jump up to the grass path on the right and run off the right edge of the path to land near a pipe. Run right to the post, and then quickly stomp to make the Eggo-Dil hide. Jump over the tall post and the short post, and then run to the edge of the path and jump over the gap. On the other side of the gap, quickly run right under the three Baron Von Zeppelins and jump the next gap. Jump back to the left side of the gap, and then shoot the three Barron Von Zeppelins holding the crate. Stomp the crate to receive six stars. Jump over the gap on the right and shoot the Baron Von Zeppelins holding the second crate. Stomp this crate for six more stars, and then jump over the gap on the right. After landing on the other side of the gap, go up to the left side of the small slope and face right. Shoot the Fly Guy that appears holding the 1UP, and then quickly run under the Baron Von Zeppelin and jump the gap at the right side of the path. Stomp when you land on the other side of the gap to make the Eggo-Dil hide, and then continue right to find some more falling blocks. Quickly run right into the gap and jump out the other side to collect the fourth flower. FLOWER 5 As soon as you collect the fourth flower, run back to the left through the gap to avoid the blocks dropping above. Back on the left side of the gap, face right and jump up the blocks to the small ledge at the top. Drop down off the right side of the ledge and continue right. Jump over the gap to land on the other side, where two blocks will be falling. Quickly jump onto the first block, then the second block, then jump up to the ledge on the right. Run right to reveal a winged cloud and collect the fifth flower. Shoot an egg at the winged cloud to receive five stars, and then drop down through the paddles on the right. Run up the slope on the right and drop down to the blocks on the other side. Run along the first block and hover jump over to the second block, collect the two red coins as you hover. Hover from the second block and land on the third block, collecting two more red coins. The third block will start to drop, but stay on it and wait for the fourth block to get lower. When the third block starts to drop quickly, jump up to the fourth block and then jump to the fifth block. Hover jump from the fifth to collect the two red coins and land on the striped platform. Press up next to the hut to enter it and play a bonus game. After exiting the hut, run right and jump through the goal ring to complete the level. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Level 2-2: The Baseball Boys ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FLOWER 1 Run right under the message block at the start of the level and hit the right side of the egg block to refill the egg supply. If you hit the left side of the egg block, the Green Glove on the right will throw an egg at you. Shoot an egg up at the arrow cloud above the message block to collect some coins, and then continue right. Stomp on the two Green Gloves and the Slugger, and shoot an egg at the winged cloud to lower the platform on the right. Jump over the platform and land on the other side to collect the first flower. FLOWER 2 Continue right and jump over the two Shy Guys on the way up the slope. At the top of the slope, hover jump over the Blow Hard to land at the top of another slope. Hover jump from the top of the second slope to jump over another Blow Hard, and land on the first Milde on the other side. Jump over the other two Mildes and go right to come to three platforms. Jump to the top platform and eat the Shy Guy, and then jump straight up over the Needlenose that the Blow Hard shoots. After landing back on the platform, shoot an egg at the winged cloud above the Blow Hard for a 1UP, and then quickly jump over the Blow Hard and land on the platform on the other side. Drop down off the right side of the platform and continue right to come to a pipe. Eat the Shy Guys coming out of the pipe until Yoshi has six eggs, and then jump on top of the pipe and face left. Shoot an egg at the winged cloud to create a beanstalk. Climb the beanstalk to the top and jump into the tunnel at the left side. Run left along the tunnel and jump onto the platform when the tunnel curves up. Jump over to the path on the right and jump up the four platforms at the right side of the Blow Hard. From the fourth platform, jump up to the path on the right. Jump up the next four platforms, and then jump to the left path from the fourth platform. Run left up the small curved path, and look up to see two Fly Guys holding red coins. Shoot both Fly Guys to collect the red coins and then run right along the platform and jump up to the grass path. Go right and drop down the gap with the red arrow pointing down to land on a platform near a message block. Go right along the platform and drop down through the outline blocks to land on some steps. Run down the long steps all the way to the bottom, and continue right after landing to drop down another gap. After dropping down the second gap, shoot an egg up at the arrow cloud to make the Super Star fall down from the gap up on the left. Collect the Super Star to transform into Mario, and then quickly run through the paddles on the left to find the second Star. Continue left up the steep slope and along the red blocks to find the third Star. Keep going left to find the fourth Star just after the red blocks. Run up the steep slope to find the fifth Star, and run up the wall to collect the sixth Star. Shortly after collecting the sixth Star, Mario will be outside. Quickly jump up to the platform and run right, jumping up about half-way along the platform to collect the seventh star. Jump onto the grass path at the right side of the platform and jump into the gap at the right side of the path to collect the eighth and final star. After landing, quickly run right and jump over the blocks to land on some spikes. Run along the spikes and jump through the middle ring on the other side. Shortly after this, Mario will return to normal and you will be able to continue playing as Yoshi. Jump over the small gap on the right and hit the egg block to refill the egg supply. Continue right down the tiny slope and walk near the right edge. A Slugger will be walking about on a small platform down on the right. Wait until the Slugger is facing right and then shoot an egg at the winged cloud to reveal the second flower. Wait for the Slugger to face right again, and shoot an egg at the second flower to collect it. FLOWER 3 After collecting the second flower, jump up to the platform on the right and run along to the gap. Jump over the first gap and hover jump over the second gap. Hover over to the horizontally moving red and yellow platform, and then stomp the Green Glove on the platform down on the right. Jump up to the red and yellow platform on the right, and shoot an egg down and right along the spikes to collect the three red coins and a 1UP for hitting the winged cloud. Jump up to the ledge on the right, and then jump up to the grass path. Drop down both big steps on the right and continue right to enter the second area. After arriving in the second area, run right and eat the blue watermelon on the second tree. Continue right up the steps and shoot ice at the Piranha Plant and the four Shy Guys. Run right and use the large spring ball to bounce up to the platform above. Run left along the platform and jump up the big step to land on the grass path. Go left along the grass path and enter the hidden tunnel at the end to find a middle ring. Pass through the middle ring, and then run back to the far right side of the grass path. Jump into the first small hidden tunnel up on the right. Jump from the hidden tunnel to the platform on the right, and walk to the far left side of the platform. Jump up and tap right to land in a hidden tunnel above. Shoot an egg at the winged cloud to receive five stars, and then jump over to the platform on the left. Jump over to the next platform on the left. From this platform, jump up and right to land in a hidden tunnel which contains a red coin. Collect the red coin, and then drop back down to the platform on the left. Jump over to the grass path and hit the egg block at the left side of the path to refill the egg supply. Use the large spring ball to bounce up to the top of the high platform on the right. Jump down to the platform on the right, and then jump into the hidden tunnel of the next platform on the right to find a winged cloud. Shoot an egg at the winged cloud to reveal the third flower. FLOWER 4 After collecting the third flower, jump back to the platform on the left and then jump up to the platform on the right. From this platform, jump over the gap and enter the long hidden tunnel on the right. After entering the hidden tunnel, run down the slope on the right. Stop near the bottom of the slope and quickly fire an egg at the Blow Hard on the ceiling. Continue right to come to the first junction in the path. Take the high path and eat the Little Mouser on the way up the slope to come to a small area with three coins. Shoot an egg at the Piranha Plant, then jump over the small gap on the right and collect the middle red coin. Run back to the left, jump over the gap and go down the slope to come to the junction again. The Blow Hard have reappeared, so quickly drop off the platform, turn right and take the low path. Walk down the path until you get near the edge. Slowly walk off the edge of the path and hold left to avoid the Piranha Plant. After landing, eat the Little Mouser that runs up the slope and then go down the slope to come to another junction. Go left at the junction and eat the Little Mouser that rushes toward you. Fire an egg at the Piranha Plant, jump up to eat the blue watermelon near the ceiling, and go left to collect the fourth flower. FLOWER 5 Go right to the junction and continue right. Shoot ice at the Little Mouser that runs toward you, and run under the Piranha Plant that appears on the ceiling. Jump over the small gap and continue right to enter the third area. After arriving in the third area, run right and enter the hidden tunnel. Shoot an egg at the winged cloud to reveal a Metamorphosis Bubble. Touch the bubble to transform into a Mole Tank, and then start digging through the fluff on the right. Collect the second coin, the fourteenth coin and the eighteenth coin for all three red coins, and then dig out of the fluff on the right side to hit the Yoshi Block, which will return Yoshi to normal. Run down the small slope on the right and drop down onto the first of many junctions in this area. Go right at the junction and jump the gap further on the right. On the other side of the gap, walk close to the Slugger on the platform. Wait until the Slugger walks to the right side of the platform, and then shoot an egg up and right over the top of him so that it collects the two red coins in the room. With both red coins collected, run back to the left and jump over the gap to arrive back at the first junction. Go left at the first junction and jump the gap. Eat the Little Skull Mouser on the other side of the gap and continue left to come to a crate. Stomp the crate for six stars, and then run right and drop down the gap. After landing on the path, face right and eat the Little Mouser that rushes toward you. Go right and jump over the gap. Continue right after landing on the other side of the gap to come to a small room with three coins. Eat the Little Skull Mouser and then collect the middle red coin. Run back to the left and drop down the gap. After landing on the path at the bottom of the gap, run right and eat the Little Skull Mouser. Continue right and hover jump over the Tap-Tap to arrive near a winged cloud. Shoot the winged cloud for a 1UP and then run back to the left. Jump over the small gap with a Tap-Tap in it and collect the middle red coin on the other side. Jump over the second gap with a Tap-Tap in it and continue left. When you come to the slope that goes down, jump over to the other side of the gap and fire an egg at the Tap-Tap to move him out of the way. Collect the middle red coin and eat the blue watermelon, and then go right to the gap. Drop into the gap and run down the slope on the left. Wait at the bottom of the slope for the Tap-Tap to appear on the other side of the gap. When he walks back to the left, jump over the gap. Run left on the other side of the gap and shoot the winged cloud for three stars. Run back to the right and drop down the gap. Go down the slope and eat the Little Mouser that emerges from the hole. Continue right down the slope to enter a large circular area. Jump onto the platform in the middle of the long circular area and then jump on top of the message block. When the tulip opens, bounce an egg off of the ceiling so that it lands in the tulip, which will throw out eight stars. After collecting the stars, drop down off the left side of the platform and run right to drop down to a log platform. Drop down off the right side of the log platform to land on a grass path. Run over to the far right side of the grass path, and shoot an egg down and right to collect the only red coin in this room. Run back to the left side of the room and jump up both log platforms. From the top log platform, jump up to the right yellow platform. Jump up the small step and then run along the path on the right. Eat the Little Skull Mouser at the top of the first slope under the Piranha Plant, and continue down the slope on the other side to come to a small gap. Drop down the small gap to land on a small spring ball. Shoot an egg down and right under the blocks to collect the fifth flower. Bounce on the small spring ball and jump out the right side of the gap. Run up the slope on the right and eat the two Little Mousers that come out of the holes. Go up to the top of the slope and shoot an egg at the Piranha Plant. Exit the hidden tunnel and continue right to the goal ring. Jump through the goal ring to complete this huge level. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Level 2-3: What's Gusty Taste Like? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FLOWER 1 Run up and over the slope at the start of the level, and eat any of the Gustys that fly toward you. Jump up the yellow fluff platforms to the third platform, and stomp down through the middle of the platform to reveal a winged cloud. Shoot an egg at the winged cloud to reveal a red switch. Stomp on the red switch and run right up the slope. Hover jump over the gap and collect as many of the coins as you can before landing on the other side. On the other side of the gap, run down the slope and eat the Shy Guy. Run up the small grass slope on the right to come to another slope leading up to the left. Walk to the bottom of this slope and jump straight up to collect the single red coin above. Continue right to come to a gap with a winged cloud floating above it. Shoot the winged cloud to reveal a flower, and then jump over the gap to collect the first flower. FLOWER 2 On the other side of the gap, run right up the small slope and jump up to the ledge at the top. Quickly jump over the gap to the ledge on the right and shoot an egg at the Fly Guy holding the 1UP. Face left and shoot an egg up at the winged cloud above to receive five stars. Drop off the right side of the ledge and continue right to come to a gap. Jump over the three gaps on the right and run up the big slope after the third gap. Jump over the fourth gap at the top of the slope, and then face left. Walk left to the top of the slope, and shoot an egg at the winged cloud in the gap to reveal the second flower. Shoot another egg into the gap to collect the second flower. FLOWER 3 Run down the slope on the right and duck under the first low-flying Gusty. Continue right to find a Shy Guy. Eat the Shy Guy, and then hold down to duck under the second low-flying Gusty. Run up the big slope on the right and drop down onto the pipe. Go down the pipe. After arriving in the second area, face right and eat the Lantern Ghosts coming out of the pipe until Yoshi has six eggs. Drop down to the pipe and then jump through the middle ring up on the right. Continue right under the message block after landing and jump up to the small ledge on the right. Shoot an egg down and right so that it bounces through both fluff walls and collects the two red coins along the way. Drop down the step on the right and continue right to the next big step. Jump up the step and shoot an egg through the wall on the right. Go right and jump over the gap. On the other side of the gap, run right to come to a series of fluff walls. Shoot an egg right so that it goes through all of the walls and collects the two red coins. Run right through the gaps in the wall, collecting the two eggs along the way, and drop down the small step. Walk right and shoot an egg up near the top-right corner of the fluff ceiling to receive three stars from a hidden winged cloud. Shoot an egg up and right, and then jump up the big step on the right. Go down the small slope on the right, and jump up at the bottom of the slope to collect the top-right red coin. After landing, shoot an egg up at the Fly Guy to make him drop the red coin. Collect the red coin and continue right. Eat the two Mildes on the way along the path and continue right to come to a tunnel with three winged clouds and lots of Fangs. Shoot the first winged cloud for five stars, the second cloud for a single coin and the third cloud for the third flower. Avoiding the Fangs, run right and jump up to the platform to collect the third flower. FLOWER 4 Drop down off either side of the platform and fall through the paddles below to collect a Super Star. As Mario, run left down the slope and defeat the various enemies along the way. When you come to the junction in the path, continue left arrive in a room with a huge fluff ceiling. Stand on top of the pipe and jump over to the platform on the left. Walk over to the left side of the small platform and shoot an egg up and left to create some steps in the fluff. Climb up the fluff steps to the top, and then jump over the block on the right to collect the fourth flower on the other side. FLOWER 5 Jump over the high section of the platform on the right and stomp the fluff on the other side to land back near the pipe. Eat the Lantern Ghosts coming out of the pipe until Yoshi has six eggs, and then walk left. Look up to see a block in the middle of the fluff. Fire an egg up in the fluff at the right side of the block to receive three stars. Walk left and fire an egg up near the left side of the block to reveal a red switch. Stomp on the red switch, jump up the big step on the left and press down on the red arrow to enter a secret area. After arriving in the secret area, hit the three egg blocks on the right and collect the eggs. Go left and drop onto the bridge, and then quickly run left and jump onto the platform at the left side of the bridge to collect the two red coins. Walk over to the right side of the platform and wait for the Nep- Enut to appear on the right. Shoot an egg at the Nep-Enut and then quickly run right over to the next set of platforms. Jump up to the left platform and hover jump over to the right platform to collect the six red coins. Face left and walk over to the left edge of the right platform. Shoot an egg at the Nep-Enut, drop down the gap between platforms and quickly run right to the next set of coins. Jump up to collect the top two red coins, and then quickly run right. Exit the area by going up the pipe. After arriving back in the main section of the level, go right and stomp through the fluff to land on the path. Run right and jump over the pipe to land on the slope on the other side. Go up the slope and continue right through the small tunnel. Eat the Fang on the other side, then drop down the step and eat the green watermelon on top of the small tree. Continue right and jump up to the fluff. Run along the fluff floor and shoot an egg up at the winged cloud to receive five stars. Continue right and drop down the big fluff step to land back on the path. Jump over the big gap on the right and shoot the winged cloud above to reveal a Metamorphosis Bubble. Touch the bubble to transform into a Mole Tank, and then start digging through the fluff on the right. Dig right, down, up, left, down, left and go up the small gap to hit the Yoshi Block at the top. After transforming into Yoshi, jump up the small gap and go left to collect the key. Jump up to the yellow platform above and then jump over to the red bridge on the left. Run along the red bridge and jump up the two platforms at the end of the path. Go up the small slope on the left and wait for the Chomp Rock to roll slowly up the slope. Quickly jump on Chomp Rock before it rolls back down the slope and jump up to the tiny ledge high up on the left. Jump from the ledge up to the platform on the left, and enter the hut to play a bonus game. After exiting the hut, drop down off the platform and land on the path below. Run right past the two Fangs, then turn around and head back to the left. When the Chomp Rock starts roll down the slope, run after it and follow it all the way down to the room with the huge fluff ceiling. Push the Chomp Rock over the pipe and continue pushing it left to reveal a winged cloud near the wall. Shoot the winged cloud to receive five stars, and then run back to the right. Jump over the green pipe, run up the slope and go through the tunnel on the right. Drop down the big step on the other side of the tunnel and jump up to the fluff on the right. Go right and drop down from the fluff to land on the path. Jump over the gap on the right and shoot the winged cloud to reveal the Metamorphosis Bubble for the second time in this level. Touch the bubble to transform into the mole tank, and instead of digging through the fluff on the right, move left. Move left and go down the pit. Continue moving to come to a small secret area with a Baron Von Zeppelin holding a 1UP. Touch the Baron Von Zeppelin to collect the 1UP, and then wait to be transformed to Yoshi. After transforming into Yoshi, jump up the four steps on the right and drop down to the path on the other side. Jump over the pipe on the right and continue along the platform to drop down to the next section of path. Go right and shoot an egg up through the fluff to knock the large spring ball down. Jump on the large spring ball and bounce up to the high path on the right. Run right along the path and drop down into the small gap to land on some fluff. Stomp the fluff and then jump over to the left side of the Chomp Rock on the left. Hold right to push Chomp Rock down the path, defeating the various enemies along the way. When you get to the gap, stop pushing Chomp Rock and jump over to the other side. Run down the small slope and jump through the goal ring to complete the level. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Level 2-4: Bigger Boo's Fort ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FLOWER 1 Go right at the start of the level and jump onto the log platform above the lava. Run over to the right side of the log platform to encounter the first Boo in the level. Like all Boos in the level, when you face toward them they will hide, but if you turn away from them they will float toward you. Run under the Boo and drop down into the gap to land on the red switch. Quickly jump out of the gap and run over the red blocks on the right. Run under the first gap with the Big Boo and jump up into the second gap to collect the first flower. FLOWER 2 After landing back on the red blocks, continue right to come to a slightly curved log platform above some lava. Jump over the small gap to the second platform and collect the two red coins along the way, and then face left so that the Big Boo floats toward you. When the Big Boo gets close, face right and hover jump over him to collect the two red coins and land on the next log platform. Continue right and go through the blue doors. After arriving in the second area, run right and enter the blue doors near the paddles. There are two Big Boos inside this room. Face away from them so that they float toward you, and then shoot an egg so that it bounces off the wall and hits the Big Boo. Defeat both Big Boos to make a flower appear at the left side of the room. Jump up to the platform and collect the second flower, and then go through the blue doors to exit the room. FLOWER 3 After returning to the second area, walk left and then face right. Shoot an egg up and right at the diagonal line of three red coins to collect them. Face left and shoot an egg at the winged cloud to create some steps. Jump onto the steps and climb them up to the top. Jump onto the path at the top of the steps and continue right to come to a winged cloud. Shoot the winged cloud to receive five stars, and then drop down the gap on the right to land on a log platform near a red switch. Jump up to the platform on the right and land on the red switch to make the red blocks appear. Drop down off the platform to the left and then run right onto the red blocks above the lava. Shoot an egg so that it follows the coin trail and hits the winged cloud to reveal a key. Collect the key and run quickly to the left. Eat the five Boo Guys as you run left and run through the paddles at the end of the tunnel to land near a blue door. Go left and jump up to the bottom of the steps. Jump left from the steps to land on the path above. Go left to collect three eggs, and then jump onto the sloped log platform on the right. Jump up to the log platform above, and then jump over to the yellow platform on the left. Stay on the middle of the platform as it moves along the platform to collect both red coins. After collecting the second red coin, jump over to the platform on the left and open the door with the keyhole. After arriving in the third area, face toward the wall on the right and fire eggs to defeat both Boos floating toward you. With the Boos defeated, walk left and fire an egg to collect the two red coins above the blue doors. Continue left and jump onto the log platform near the wall. Jump up to the platform above and then jump up to the sloped platform. Jump right from the platform to collect the two red coins and land on the big sloped platform. Jump over to the small sloped platform on the right and then jump up to the log platform next to the wall. Jump up to the small log platform above, and jump left to collect the third flower. Jump left along the platforms and go down the pipe at the left side of the area. FLOWER 4 After returning to the second area, push the crate off the ledge to the right and drop down to the path below. Stomp the crate to receive six stars. Run through the three eggs on the right to come to a winged cloud. Don't shoot the winged cloud, as this will create steps which block the entrance to the middle ring. Instead, jump up the two log platforms above and then jump over to the yellow platform on the left. Ride the platform up and over the wire to the other side to land at the start of a tunnel. Go right to pass through the middle ring. Run right to the second small dip in the path and jump up to collect the fourth flower. FLOWER 5 Continue right after collecting the fourth flower and drop down the small step to land near some Boo Blahs. The Boo Blahs will grow large, and will then return to normal size. Wait for the Boo Blah on the floor to return to normal and then jump over him and continue right to come to a red switch. Drop into the gap to land on the red switch, and quickly jump out of the right side of the gap. Run right along the red blocks while avoiding the two Boo Blahs on the ceiling. Jump up to the path at the right side of the red blocks and continue right. Jump over the Boo Blah on the floor, run under the Boo Blah on the ceiling and go through the pipe on the right. After arriving in the fourth area, jump on top of the pipe on the left and jump up to the block on the left to reveal a winged cloud. Shoot the winged cloud for a 1UP and then run right to come to a vertically moving block. Walk onto the moving block and look at the rotating flame down on the right. When the flame is pointing up, go right and jump over it. Quickly run onto the second vertically moving block and hover jump over the second rotating flame when it is pointing diagonally up and right. Run right after passing the second flame and jump over the step to land on the log in the lava on the other side. Walk over to the right side of the log and it will start floating across the lava. Jump up to the path at the other side of the lava and go through the pipe on the right. After arriving in the fifth area, jump up to the first platform on the right and face right so that the Boo hides. Hover jump over the Boo to collect the two red coins on the other side. After landing back on the path, continue right under the first Big Boo and jump up under the second Big Boo to collect the two red coins. Continue right and jump onto the platform on the other side of the third Big Boo. Face left and jump up to the platform above. Shoot an egg straight up at the cracked block above to create a gap. Jump up through the gap and run left to drop down next to some blue doors. Go through the doors. After arriving in the secret area, go left and shoot a Boo Balloon three times to receive a red switch. Quickly run left and jump up the red blocks to collect the fifth flower at the top-left corner of the area. Drop down off the right side of the red blocks. Eat the Boo Guys coming out of the pipe to refill the egg supply, and then run right and go through the blue doors. After returning to the fifth area, run through the paddles and continue running right under the three big boos to arrive near some blue doors at the far right side of the area. Go through the blue doors. After arriving in the sixth area, pass through the middle ring and then jump onto the middle of the first rotating platform up on the right. Run over to the right side of the platform and jump up to the log platform on the right. Jump to the second rotating platform and run across to the log platform on the left. Jump to the log platform and then jump up to the final rotating platform in the area. Run across to the right side and jump up to the log platform near the red doors. Enter the red doors. BOSS BATTLE 3: BIGGER BOO Run right at the start of the area and Kamek will transform a ordinary Big Boo into Bigger Boo. Hit Bigger Boo by looking away from him and then firing an egg so that it hits him as he floats toward you. After every successful hit with an egg, he will grow even bigger. Jump onto the see-saw platform on the right and run over to the right side to collect the red coin. Jump over to the fluff and wait for the Woozy Guy to bounce up from the lower section of fluff on the right. Eat the Woozy Guy and then drop down to the fluff on the right. Eat the eggs coming out of the Egg Plant until Yoshi has six eggs. Jump up the two steps in the fluff on the right and jump over to the see-saw platform. Quickly jump off to the right side of the platform to land on the block of fluff. At this point, Lakitu will appear. Jump to the next see-saw platform and then jump to the small fluff path on the right. Eat the Shy Guy on the path and continue moving right before Lakitu starts throwing enemies at you. Jump to the next see-saw platform and run over to the right side to collect a single red coin. Jump over the fluff wall on the right and land on the fluff path on the other side. Eat the Woozy Guy that bounces toward you and then run down the two small steps. Eat the Shy Guy at the bottom of the steps and then shoot of Lakitu. With Lakitu gone, shoot an egg at the Fly Guy to make him drop the coin, and shoot an egg at the winged cloud to reveal the first flower. Collect the red coin and shoot an egg up at the first flower to collect it. FLOWER 2 Continue right and jump over the red shell on the fluff wall. On the other side of the red shell, shoot another egg up at Lakitu if he's appeared, and then eat the green shell. Wait for the tulip to open, and then shoot the green shell into the tulip to make it throw out eight stars. Collect the stars and continue right. Jump over the small wall at the end of the fluff path and land on the see-saw platform on the other side. Run to the right side of the see-saw platform and jump onto the small platform outside of the tunnel on the right. Go right to enter the tunnel and jump up to eat the red shell on the ledge. Drop back down to the left and shoot the red shell out of the tunnel. Shoot an egg up the first gap in the tunnel to reveal a winged cloud. Shoot the winged cloud for five stars and then jump up to the ledge on the right. Drop down the other side and eat the Shy Guy. Shoot an egg straight up into the gap after landing to reveal another winged cloud. Shoot this winged cloud to receive a red switch, and then stomp the red switch to make the red blocks appear over on the right. Quickly jump up to the ledge on the right and knock the green shell right. Drop down onto the fluff and follow the green shell right as it hits into the Shy Guy. Jump up the small step in the fluff and jump over the green shell before the step down. Drop down the step and continue right to come to some tiny fluff platforms leading over a crate. Eat the Woozy Guy and then jump up to the highest fluff platform. Stomp down through the fluff and land on the crate to receive a key. Quickly collect the key and jump out of the left side of the gap to land back on the fluff. Continue left back to the winged cloud near the exit of the tunnel. Shoot an egg at the winged cloud to receive five stars, and then walk right. Eat the eggs coming out of the Egg Plant until Yoshi has six eggs, and then shoot an egg up at the red coin at the left side of the egg plant. Go right and jump up the small step. Shoot an egg up at the winged cloud for five stars. Shoot an egg up at the red coin just left of the green shell, and then run right to the tiny fluff platforms. Jump up and over the platforms and eat the Woozy Guy that bounces up from the other side. On the other side of the tiny fluff platform, collect the second and sixth red coins in the line and then shoot an egg through the fluff steps to collect the second flower. FLOWER 3 Jump over the gap in the steps and climb up to the top. Pick up the green shell at the top and walk over to the right side of the top step. Jump straight up and shoot the green shell at the winged cloud to receive five stars. Run down the steps to come to a Pokey throwing a Needlenose. Collect the red coin at the left side of Pokey and then eat the Needlenose to defeat the Pokey. Jump over to the other side of the Pokey and eat the Woozy Guy. Walk right and open the blue doors with the key. In this train area, there is a large train track which leads to the flower. I've created a map, found at the top of this level walkthrough, which lists the locations of the Metamorphosis Bubbles as well as the coins. Read the next paragraph for the text walkthrough to this area: Hit the first Metamorphosis Bubble to transform into a train and follow these directions to the flower and the Yoshi Block: 2nd Right, Up, 2nd Right, Up, Right, 2nd Up, Right (to collect the third flower), Down, Right, Up, Right, 2nd Down (to land on the path near the Yoshi Block). Go left after landing on the grass path to hit the Yoshi Block. Walk left and go through the blue doors. FLOWER 4 After returning to the first area, jump up to the platform above. Jump up to the grass path on the left and run left. Drop down the two platforms at the edge of the grass path and drop out of the tunnel to land near a Chomp Rock. Push the Chomp Rock slowly to the right until it is under the tunnel leading up. Jump onto the Chomp Rock and then jump up to the ledge on the right. Go through the blue doors. After arriving in the second area, run right and pass through the middle ring. Shoot an egg at the winged cloud near the post on the right and collect the five stars. Jump up and collect the red coin above the post. On the other side of the post, jump over the Crazee Dayzee and then quickly shoot an egg up at the second Fly Guy on the right holding the red coin before he flies away. Walk back to the left and shoot the remaining Fly Guy to receive another red coin. Jump up to collect the red coin above the red side of the yellow flowers, and then jump up to the ledge on the right. Eat the Shy Guys coming out of the pipe until Yoshi has six eggs, and then drop down to the grass path on the right. Eat the Crazee Dayzee and continue right to come to a small spring ball. Around this point in the level, Lakitu will reappear. Bounce on the spring ball and Eat the Fly Guy that flies down holding the red coin. Collect the red coin and then jump on the spring ball. Bounce up to land on Lakitu so that he leaves his cloud, and then jump up to land on the cloud. On the cloud, fly left under the three blocks of fluff and then fly up and left to land on a high ledge above the entrance to this area. Run left on the ledge to reveal a winged cloud. Shoot the winged cloud to receive five stars, and then walk right off the edge of the path to drop onto a post. Stomp the post two times and run into the cave on the left to reveal another hidden winged cloud. Shoot this winged cloud to find a red switch. Jump on the red switch and then jump onto the small post on the right. Jump up to the ledge on the left and press down on the red arrow. After arriving in the secret area, there will be a long drop down to the path. On the path, run right along the tunnel to come to a high room with fifteen rotating platforms. Jump up all the platforms to the top and then go up the pipe to exit the area. After returning to the second area, run right to the small spring ball and jump up to the ledge on the right. Eat Lakitu and then fire an egg over at the Bubble Dayzee on the right. Jump over to the small fluff ledge on the right and eat the Fly Guy holding the red coin on the other side. Jump straight up and tap down. Yoshi will stomp through the fluff but will stop shortly after revealing a winged cloud. Jump over to the path on the right and collect the red coin, then face left and shoot an egg at the winged cloud for five stars. Jump over the pipe on the right and eat the Bubble Dayzee on the other side. Jump over the gap to the ledge on the right and shoot an egg straight up to reveal the flower. Shoot an egg up to collect the fourth flower. FLOWER 5 Jump over the gap to the path on the right and shoot the winged cloud at the left side of the three posts for five stars. Shoot an egg at the Cactus Jack and then shoot an egg at Lakitu. Go right and jump onto the posts. Stomp the middle post three times to reveal a winged cloud, and stomp the right post twice for a red coin. Shoot the winged cloud for a 1UP, then run right and jump over the gap. On the other side of the gap, continue right and eat the Bubble Dayzee. Shoot an egg up at the first winged cloud to reveal the fifth flower and then shoot another egg to collect it. Continue right and jump onto the first post. Stomp the post twice to collect a red coin, and then shoot an egg up at the winged cloud above to receive five stars. Jump up to collect the middle red coin at the left side of the Bubble Dayzee up on the ledge, and then run right through the small tunnel. On the other side of the tunnel, shoot an egg up at the Fly Guy to make him drop the red coin. Run right and jump over the purple bush (where a Bandit is hiding) to come to the goal ring. Jump through the goal ring to complete the level. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Level 2-6: The Cave Of The Mystery Maze ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FLOWER 1 Run right along the grass path at the start of the level and jump onto the two yellow egg blocks at the end. Quickly shoot an egg at the Fly Guy that floats down to receive five stars, and then drop off either side of the egg blocks. Hit both egg blocks and collect the yellow eggs, and then walk over to the far left side of the fluff. Stomp through the fluff and hold left to enter the first tunnel on the left. Eat the two Mufti Guys and collect the two red coins above. Run back to the fluff on the right and stomp down through the left side of the fluff again. Enter the next tunnel on the left. Run left and drop off the slope to land near three Mufti Guys below a flower. Eat all three of the Mufti Guys, and then jump up to collect the first flower and the two red coins on either side. FLOWER 2 Continue along the tunnel and follow it around to the paddles at the end. Pass through the paddles and stomp through the fluff on the right. Hold right to enter the tunnel. Shoot an egg at the arrow cloud to collect a 1UP, and then pass through the gap in the fluff on the right. Stomp through the fluff and use the large spring ball to bounce up to the ledge high on the left. Collect the three red coins and then shoot an egg at the winged cloud to receive five stars. Go through the paddles on the left and stomp down through the fluff on the right until you land on the large spring ball. Drop down to the fluff on the left and stomp all the way down to the room at the bottom of the area. Collect the three red coins in the line, shoot an egg at the right winged cloud for five stars and then shoot an egg at the left winged cloud to receive a key. Jump on the left large spring ball and bounce up to the tunnel high up on the right. Eat the two Lantern Ghosts in the tunnel and then shoot an egg at the winged cloud to reveal some blue doors. Enter the doors. After arriving in the second area, run right to find some grey blocks. Eat the Lantern Ghost and walk onto the middle grey block. Shoot an egg straight up to make a large spring ball drop down. Jump on the spring ball and bounce up to the second large spring ball high above. Bounce from the second spring ball to collect the second flower and land on the yellow platform high above. FLOWER 3 From the yellow platform, bounce from the third spring ball and land on the ledge up on the left. Drop down off the left side of the ledge and follow the coin trail down to land near a hut. Enter the hut to play a bonus game. After exiting the hut, drop down to the left and walk right to find an arrow cloud above. Shoot an egg at the arrow cloud to collect the third flower. FLOWER 4 After collecting the third flower, walk left and drop down the gap to land on a small ledge. Eat the Lantern Ghost and then drop off the right side of the ledge to land at the start of the area. Run right past the grey blocks and stop at the top of the slope just before the Lantern Ghost pipe. Shoot an egg up at the left side of the fluff above to reveal some blue doors. Enter the doors to arrive in a small room with four Lantern Ghosts and a winged cloud. Eat all four of the Lantern Ghosts to receive four red coins. This will also make the flower appear at the top-right corner of the room. Shoot the winged cloud to receive five stars, collect the fifth flower and exit the room. FLOWER 5 After returning to the second area, run right and jump over the Lantern Ghost pipe. Run to the top of the slope on the other side and then jump left to land on a platform. Jump through the middle ring on the left and land on the next platform. Jump across the small gap on the left and collect the three red coins on the other side. Run back to the right and return to the top of the slope. Wait for the Ball and Chain on the right to become horizontal, then quickly run under it and jump up to the yellow platform on the right. Jump over to the large spring ball on the left and bounce up to the second yellow platform above. Jump up the five yellow platforms and go left at the top to collect three red coins and reveal a winged cloud. Shoot the winged cloud to receive a 1UP. Go back to the right and drop down the five yellow platforms. Drop off the left side of the lowest platform to land on a small path near two Lantern Ghosts. Eat the Lantern Ghosts and jump over the gap to the next path on the left. Continue left along the path. Jump over the Kaboomba about half-way up the path, and continue on to the second gap in the path. Drop down the gap and tap right after landing on the ledge to arrive once again at the start of the area. Run right to the three grey blocks and shoot an egg straight up from the middle block to reveal the large spring ball. Jump up to the third spring ball, but this time, go right at the top. Walk right and shoot the winged cloud near the start of the path to receive five stars. Continue right to the end of the path, and jump over the two Kaboombas before entering the blue doors. Go through the middle ring on the other side of the blue doors and continue right to enter the third area. After arriving in the third area, run right and jump over the first gap with the vertically moving Gusty in it. Shoot the Cactus Jack that appears over the second gap and then jump across the next two gaps to land on the half-way platform of the area. Jump over the next two Gusty gaps. Jump the normal gap and then jump over the second Cactus Jack in the area. Finally, jump down to the platform at the far right side and use the large spring ball to exit the area. After arriving in the fourth area, jump out of the water to land on the grass path on the right. Hit the egg block to refill the egg supply, and then run right to the top of the slope. Wait for the Spray Fish to stop spraying water, and then quickly jump across the number platforms to the far right platform. Jump up to the yellow fluff on the right and stomp down. Shoot an egg through the remaining fluff and run right to find the flower. Run left after collecting the fifth flower and drop down to the grass path below. Run right along the grass path and jump up the small step near the end. Run across the number platforms and jump over the Chomp Rock at the other side. Drop down off the right side of the grass path to land on a small grass slope, and then jump over the gap. On the other side of the gap, run right and stomp near the Eggo-Dil to make it hide. Run right to reveal a winged cloud, and shoot it to receive a 1UP. Continue right and jump through the goal ring to complete the level. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Level 2-7: Lakitu's Wall ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FLOWER 1 Run left at the start of the level and jump up the small step to land near a Fat Guy. Eat the Fat Guy to create a large egg, which can be used to defeat all the enemies in a screen. As an example of this, walk over to the left side of the ledge and throw the big egg to defeat all six Mildes. As another advantage, all the defeated enemies transform into stars. Drop down off the left side of the ledge and collect the six stars. Eat some of the Wall Lakitus on the left, then go right and jump up to red egg block. From the red egg block, jump up to the small tunnel high up on the right. Walk out of the right side of the tunnel and jump up to the platform above. Jump to the grass path and jump up to the left log platform to collect the first flower. FLOWER 2 Walk to the left side of the log platform and hover jump over to the two posts on the left. Shoot an egg at the winged cloud to create a bridge. Stomp the right post twice to collect a red coin, and then run left across the bridge to the other side. Quickly eat the three Fly Guys that appear holding red coins at the left side of the bridge. Collect the red coins and then shoot the winged cloud just left of the bridge to receive five stars. Continue left past the hut and eat the Fly Guy above the Fat Guy on the grey block platform. Collect the red coin that is dropped, then eat the Fat Guy and continue left under the Wall Lakitus to enter a small tunnel. Jump up to the platform in the cave to collect the red coin, and then continue left to enter another tunnel at the left side of the path. Jump up to the second platform and hit the egg block to refill the egg supply. Shoot an egg through the yellow fluff on the right and eat the four Shy Guys on the purple rotating platform. Jump onto the rotating platform and shoot the winged cloud at the top to receive five stars. Walk into the tunnel at the right side of the rotating platform. Walk out of the left side of the tunnel and stomp the post twice. Run right and jump onto the second set of grey blocks to arrive near the hut. Enter the hut to play a bonus game. After exiting the hut, run right and stomp the post at the left side of the bridge three times. Drop off the edge of the grass path and run left through the two paddles. Eat the Wall Lakitu after the paddles and then jump onto the first section of yellow fluff. Jump from the fluff over to the platform on the right, and continue right to find the second flower after two posts. FLOWER 3 After collecting the second flower, stomp the right post three times and then jump over to the yellow fluff on the left. There is a red switch under the small spring ball in the first yellow fluff section. As it only reveals some coins over on the left, it's not necessary to find. Jump over the top of the first fluff section and jummp up to the middle step of the second fluff section. Shoot an egg up at the top of the fluff to reveal a winged cloud, and shoot another egg to receive the five stars. Jump over the top of the fluff and jump over to the grass path on the other side. Two cannons shooting Bullet Bills will be down on the left. Wait for the Bullet Bills to appear, then jump on the top Bullet Bill and bounce up to the ledge on the right. Shoot the nearby winged cloud for a 1UP and then walk off the left side of the ledge to land on the two posts near the Bullet Bills. Duck under the Bullet Bills that are shot from the cannons, and then stomp the posts four times to receive two red coins. Run right and jump through the middle ring. Go through the blue doors. After arriving in the Fat Guy area, run left and jump over the first gap. Continue left and jump onto the ledge after the second gap. Wait for the Fat Guy to run near the third gap and then start running back to the left. Quickly jump left and eat the fast Fat Guy on the path. Continue left and drop down the step to find six Mildes. Shoot the Fat Guy egg to transform the Mildes into six stars, and then continue left to come to a bridge. Run left over the bridge and jump up to the ledge at the left side of the blue doors. Shoot an egg at the Tap-Tap and jump up to the platform on the left to collect the third flower. Run back to the right and go through the blue doors. Back in the first area, jump up to the ledge on the left and go down the pipe. FLOWER 4 After arriving in the second area, jump onto the first block and walk to the left side so that you can see the third block falling over on the left. When the first block starts to fall, jump across to the third block and then jump down to the fourth block. Jump quickly across the fifth, seventh and ninth blocks, and then jump over to the tenth block in the top-left corner of the area to collect two red coins. Drop down off the right side of the tenth block and land on the platform at the right side of the grass path. Jump up to the grass path on the left and go up the pipe. After arriving in the third area, walk left off the pipe and stomp the third post twice for a red coin. Jump up to the fifth post and jump over the Eggo- Dil. On the left side of the Eggo-Dil, continue left to the third post and stomp it twice for another red coin. Jump over the fifth post to land near a large spring ball. Use the spring ball to bounce up to the grass path on the left. Drop down to the post at the right side of the post and stomp it twelve times to reveal a winged cloud. Shoot the winged cloud to receive a 1UP and then jump back on the large spring ball. Bounce back up to the grass path on the left. Go to the left side of the path and jump over the post to land on the steps. Walk left on the steps and shoot the winged cloud for five stars. Continue left to the top of the steps and then hover jump left to land on a platform at the side of a high grass path. Jump up to the grass path to reveal a winged cloud. Shoot the winged cloud and jump on the red switch to reveal a red arrow over on the left. Walk over to the red arrow and press down to enter a secret area. In the secret area, walk left and stomp down the second line of fluff to collect the fourth flower. After landing at the bottom of the area, go down the pipe over on the right. FLOWER 5 After returning to the third area, jump over the gap to the platform on the right and collect the two red coins. Jump up to the grass path on the right and eat the Fat Guy that's running about. Shoot the Fly Guy above when he is floating above the grass path to make him drop the red coin. Collect the red coin and then jump up to the top of the steps on the right. Stomp the post two times at the top of the steps to collect a red coin, and then slowly walk off the left side of the grass path to land on a tall post. Stomp the post ten times to collect a red coin, and then walk right into the cave. Jump over the Tap-Tap and collect the red coin on either side of the platform. Jump up to the platforms at the top of the cave and shoot an egg into the tulip to receive eight stars. Drop off the platform and go left to exit the cave. Jump over the small step and run left along the grass path to drop down to a platform at the end. Walk off the right side of the first platform, then drop off the left side of the second platform and hover right to land on a small platform near some winged clouds. Drop off the right side of the platform to land on a small platform at the entrance to a small room at the right side of the cave. Walk right and shoot the winged cloud in the small room to receive five stars. Drop down the gap at the bottom of the room and then walk right until you come to the expansion block near the end of the area. Hit the block and then jump on top of it. Jump up to the platform on the right and shoot an egg straight up into the fluff to collect the fifth flower. Drop off the right side of the platform and continue right to enter the fourth area. After arriving in the fourth area, pass through the second middle ring and then continue right to find a Metamorphosis Bubble. Touch the bubble to transform into a car. Drive right and jump to avoid the three sets of Tap-Taps on the way to the purple rotating platform. Jump and ride onto the rotating platform, and then drive right at the top to hit the second Metamorphosis Bubble. Continue right to come to a platform with a red arrow pointing right on it. Drop off the platform and then drive left onto the yellow platform. After riding the yellow platform down, drive right and hit the message block to transform into Yoshi. Continue right and drop down off the platform to come to a large spring ball. Jump on the spring ball and bounce straight up to hit a helicopter Metamorphosis Bubble. After transforming into the helicopter, fly right and follow the coin trail along to hit three Baron Von Zeppelins holding 1UPs. Continue following the coin trail as it leads down to hit a final Baron Von Zeppelin holding a 1UP. Fly down through the paddles to transform into Yoshi for the second time in this level. Run right and jump through the goal ring to complete the level. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Level 2-8: The Potted Ghost's Castle ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FLOWER 1 Run right at the start of the level and go down the pipe. After arriving in the first area, run right along the path and jump onto the first vertically moving purple platform above the lava. Jump down to the first post in the lava to collect a red coin. Jump over to the second post to collect another red coin, and then quickly shoot an egg at the Fly Guy that appears up on the right to receive a 1UP. Jump over to the second purple platform and from there jump over to the green platform on the small wire. When the green platform reaches the far right side of the wire, jump over to the path on the right. Walk over to the right side of the path and drop down to the first post in the lava to collect a red coin. When the Lava Bubble jumps out of the lava and geos back in, do a small jump and then hover over to the next post on the right to collect two more red coins. Jump over to the green platform on the vertical wire and then jump over to the next green platform on the long wire. Ride this platform all the way along the wire to collect the first flower. FLOWER 2 Jump onto the path on the right when the platform reaches the end of the wire. Continue right and jump across the two green platforms to land on the yellow platform. Collect the red coin at the left side of the yellow platform and then jump right to land on the final green platform in the area. When the platform gets near the end of the wire and starts going down, jump right and pass through the first middle ring. Run right along the path and go up the pipe. After arriving in the second area, run left down the two steps and wait near the rotating arrow platform. Jump on when the platform points up and left and ride up to the cloud at the top-left corner of the area. Go up the pipe. In the secret area, jump up to the ledge on the right and shoot the winged cloud to reveal a train Metamorphosis Bubble. Touch the bubble and then ride along the track to the junction. At the junction, take the top track and continue along to collect the second flower. Touch the Yoshi block at the end of the track and run left back to the start of the area. Go down the pipe. FLOWER 3 After returning to the second area, wait for the arrow platform below to point right and then jump onto it. Follow the coin trail to collect three red coins and then jump onto the platform at the end of the trail. Go through the pipe to enter the third area. After arriving in the third area, go right and drop down to the tunnel below. Go right and then go left at the junction. Continue left to enter the fourth area. After arriving in the fourth area, walk left and eat Shy Guys coming out of the pipe until Yoshi has six eggs. Jump on top of the pipe and shoot the winged cloud for three stars. Run left and jump over the small gap to land near the first Dizzy Dandy in the game. Jump over the Dizzy Dandy and then run under the yellow fluff. Go to the left side of the platform and jump over the two gaps to land near another Dizzy Dandy. Quickly jump over the Dizzy Dandy and then jump over the next gap on the left to land near a normal flower under a platform of fluff. Walk to the left side of the small fluff platform and wait for one of the Boo Guys above to drop a missile down onto the fluff, which will create a gap. Drop down into the fluff gap and collect the third flower. FLOWER 4 Jump out of the fluff gap and run left to come to a fluff platform in a gap. Quickly jump onto the middle of the platform to collect the red coin, and then jump over to the path at the left side of the gap. Shoot the winged cloud for five stars and then continue left to find a vase. Jump over to the left side of the vase and push it right along the log platform. Push it off the edge of the log platform to reveal a key. Run right all the way back to the start of the area. Shoot the winged cloud above the Shy Guy pipe for three more stars, and then go through the pipe at the far right side of the area. After returning to the third area, run up the slope on the right and drop down the first gap. Walk left and then right to drop down the two ledges, and run right along the tunnel to enter a room with five coins. Collect the middle red coin, then go left and jump up the two platforms. Go right at the top of the gap and continue right to enter the fifth area. After arriving in the fifth area, eat the Shy Guys coming out of the first pipe until Yoshi has six eggs. Jump over the pipe and continue right under the message block to come to a spiked log with a wheel at the top. Shoot the wheel twice to raise the log, an then quickly run under it. On the other side of the log, eat two more Shy Guys coming out of the pipe and then go through the pipe at the far right side of the area. Run right along the tunnel and enter the door with the keyhole. After arriving in the sixth area, walk right and jump up the three platforms. From the third platform, go left at the junction and jump up the two platforms to come to a small room with the second middle ring. Pass through the middle ring and then drop down the gap on the right. Jump over the small gap to come to another junction. Take the low path and go through the blue doors at the bottom of the slope. Defeat both Burts in the room to reveal the flower. Collect the fourth flower and then go through the blue doors. FLOWER 5 After returning to the sixth area, jump up the small step and then run left up the slope. Jump up the platform at the top of the slope and then jump up to the path on the right. Of the six coins, collect the second and fifth coin, and then continue right to enter the seventh area. After arriving in the seventh area, eat the Shy Guys coming out of the first pipe until Yoshi has six eggs. Run right and jump onto the small platform near the first spiked log. Shoot the wheel twice and then quickly jump over to the vertically moving purple platform on the other side. Jump across to the path and hit the egg block to refill the egg supply. Continue right and jump onto the next purple moving platform. Shoot the wheel above the second spiked log twice to raise it. Jump right to drop down into the gap under the spiked log and run right to collect the fifth flower. Walk right after collecting the fifth flower and jump up through the log platform. Drop down off the edge of the path on the right, and continue right to come to an arrow platform. Jump on the platform when it points up and slightly right, and then ride it to collect the first red coin. At this point, hover jump straight up and land back on the platform when it points up and left. After the second red coin, hover jump and ride the platform up to collect the third red coin. Jump off to the ledge on the right after collecting the third red coin, and then jump up to the log platform above. Shoot an egg up at the small section of blue thorns to reveal some doors. Go through the blue doors. After arriving in the eighth area, run into the hidden tunnel on the left and jump up to the lowest platform. Jump out of the tunnel and land on the lowest log platform on the right. Jump up the log platforms to the top to collect two red coins, avoiding the Bandits along the way. On the top log platform, walk left to land on a vase. Get on the left side of the vase and push it right to reveal a key. Collect the key and then jump back to the log platforms on the left. From the top log platform, jump over to the grass path on the right and pass through the third middle ring in the level. Walk onto the log platform at the right side of the path and drop down the platforms to collect the final two red coins. Jump over to the hidden tunnel on the right and go through the blue door with the keyhole. After arriving in the ninth area, run right and hit the three yellow egg blocks. Jump through the fourth middle ring in the level, and then jump up to the high ledge on the right.
